    Default 80 Coupe sloppy gear change – 24-02-2008,01:26 AM
    Hello all.
    I have an 80 coupe with a loose and sloppy gear change. No problems with selection, just sloppy. The car has clocked 110k, so I guess its just normal wear and tear. Has anyone any idea of a quick or easy fix?

    I found that with my K reg Audi 80, turns out the stick had come out a bit. I pushed down on the gear stick and it went back in properly and gear changes were crisp as per normal.

    Checked out the gearlever as you suggested but no joy. Its not popped up at all, any other suggestions.....Anybody HELP!
