    Default Alloy Wheels – 23-02-2008,12:20 AM
    The edge of my bbs alloys has gone tarnished, i dont know why this as happened, could any one help with why this has happened and if so does anybody know if i would be able to get them back silver like the rest of the alloys.

    what model of bbs are thwey? rx-II's? (polo gti alloys) if so its a common prob. the laquer peels and water gets underneath and damages the alloy. best thing to do is strip the laquer completely off and re-polish them. bare polished rims do require regular cleaning though

    Yes they are the rx-II's, what do i use to remove the laquer, and then after what do i re-polish them with.

    nitromors to remove the laquer, then buy a drill attachment polishing kit (loads on ebay)and follow the supplied guide! easy as pie, just very time consuming!
