The 12v socket in the boot of my 2002 130bhp passat seems to have blown a fuse. I've looked under the steering wheel where the fuse is supposed to be but i can't find it, can anyone help.

Usually these plugs are retrofitted so the fuse may be in a different place. Look behind the fusebox if you see any spare fuse conected to a live feed. Also pull the socket out and see if any power cable goes to it and check with a multi-meter if it has power to it. Could be that the lighter is not working !

There should be one or two side by side - 20A yellow if still the originals.
One for each 12v socket if there's two together.
These are on a relay panel above the pedals.
You need to remove lower dash panel, 2 screws on front, two on side near main fuse panel, and two clips along top edge. the fuse/s are at the bottom of relays.
