Audi A4 cvt gearbox

Hi, I have an Audi A4 2.5TDI CVT and when I start the car from cold the car waits for about 5 seconds and high revs to pull away. This gets better the further I drive. Also, when I come to a stop on any sort of incline, the car rolls backwards. Do you think this is a clutch fault or something else. Very unhappy at the moment .

Trust that you are aware of the drawbacks to the multitronics.Has the box been serviced correctly?It might just need an ATF change but hope its not serious

Mikeybutch has a very valid point there, multitronics have always had certain issues but first port of call would certainly be an oil change!

It might roll backwards in a very steep hill. Mine is a bit worn and it takes a bit of effort to get going. Definitely much higher revs than a manual box. Do you have juddering at low rpms?
Does the hill start function work? I think it sounds like clutch plates.
