    hi all, just baught a passat v6 tdi on a y reg, its got a central locking fault when i unlock the doors on the second press of the unlocking button only the drivers door unlocks it doesnt open all the doors but if i use the key in the drivers door barrel it all works fine. just not on the plip, any help or advise would be great.

    Hi, it needs programming the CCM. Go to the dealer to have that done !

    You could buy a Vag-com lead and with a laptop and a copy of vag com you could do that easily. The money you spend on a decent lead may be cheaper than what the dealer will charge ! The CCM module(includes the alarm and central locking ) needs coding but it can be done with suitable diagnostic equipment. See www.openobd.com and www.rosstech.com for details of how to do that. Read carefully and make a note of the existing coding of the module . Also if you live close to London, i could fix that for you or see if any of your friends have a Vag com. Hope this helps.
