Whistling noise through drivers side vent!

I've had my Bora 150PD Sport about 6 months now and its just started making a strange whistling noise through the drivers side air vent. Very high pitched, very annoying!

This noise gets louder the faster the fan blower is running, and also as I drive faster. It's only coming through the drivers side vent though.

I've had VW look at it and they can't seem to find anything wrong with the car - one of those faults that wont show up when I take it in!

Has anyone got any idea as to what might cause this kind of problem?

Take it to a panel beater, i had a whistling noise in my car whenever the a/c was set to fresh air and it turned out to be a crack in the sunroof seal.. about 1cm big!

I should probably note at this point that it does it when the car is stationary too.

No sunroof unfortunately.

Hmm well it sounds like there may be a crack in the a/c tube or something that carries the air to the vent.. But i'm no pro so it's better to take it to someone that knows what they're talking about.
