Hi all, i have now decided on trying to fit a RNS-E into my 2002 A4 AVANT TDI 130 SPORT, it is fitted with the chorous sound system and has a 6 disc changer in the glovebox although this is not used as i am using a genuine audi ipod adapptor, my questions are, has anyone done this before, what is needed or will it plug straight in? i see it has sd slots for mp3 files, can you listen to these while the unit is navigating and can you listen to the radio and have your current postion displayed on the screen, any help or advice on this subject would be great.

As you have chorus which is a single DIN fitting and RNS-e is double DIN
you will need to change the cage for a double DIN and move the aircon controls and get hold of a loom.
It has been done but its a lot of work.
The car and unit will have to be coded with Vagcom.
Just seen you are local to me, i do know people who fit these.
    Send me a PM

You can get adapter looms but you need a double DIN cage to take the nav, to get this to fit you have to move the aircon controls lower.
