Hi I must say i find it hard to beleive.A faulty sensor will show up on a diagnose,But there again one is never done learning, and if he says he has changed loads of them, then let him have the benifit of the doubt.

WHOOAH Bill just sitting ere collecting my thoughts, may be a long shot but the hot starting prob is ringing bells, one of our lads had a 2.0 petrol Omega that would start fine when cold but cut out when warm.then wouldnt start until it was cold again he would have to wait 1-2hrs before it would start.Got the car up to mine and we spent the best part of 6 hrs combing over it what was happening was the crankshaft sensor wireing was melting against the exhaust shield and shorting the sensor to earth when the shieLd cooled off the insulation hardened up and reinsulated the sensor wiring only to become hot again and cut out again CHECK URS M8
