Hi there, I have a Mk3 on a 96 and I was driving yesterday on the motorway and found that I am getting a humming/squeal coming from the drivers side. It happens at all speeds too. I can make the noise stop by turning the wheel to the left a bit but as soon as I straighten up it returns.

I am thinking either CV joint or wheel bearing? Any ideas? Ill be looking at the car later on to see if anything sticks out like a sore thumb. Thanks for the help

Hello all, I have been out to the shops and noticed that the brake disc is very hot. And the Mrs told me that if you press the break it stops. So why would it stop also if you turned the wheel to the left?
