    Hello,
Now sure if anyone can help. Have dual climate in a 2.0 sport but I am not sure if the fan is working. If you turn up your fan to full (manually) or put on front defrost (so it goes up anyway) do you hear the fan very loudly? Mine doesn't seem too and the only time i get decent airflow is when i am at 60 or 70mph+ even though I have the red bars all the way up. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Stu
    Cheers Stu

Hi, i suggest you go for a fault code scan as it seems your blower doesnt work and it should have set a code(s) in the memory. Make a note of it and post it back on the forum and we may be able to suggest some thing. I vould advise to buy a cheap KKL(OBD2) diagnostic cable and a cheap(old ) pentium2/3 laptop(borrow one) and search for the freeware version of Vag-Com or Vw tool. Then you could diagnose your car by yourself, without having to pay nobody, every time ! It would pay for in no time, as a scan costs between 20-30 pounds !

Yes, on full blast(demisting), one should hear the blower really spining. Have a look for vag com 312 on shareware sites(gen bearshare, edonkey, etc.) and look for keygens for the above version as well . If you download the shareware version from www.rosstech.com, you wont be able to activate it without paing them !

Yes, that will work but you may need version 409 of vag-com software as the 312 does not work on USB. Dont get any rs 232 adapters as most of the times they cannot handle the high baud rate(fast conection) between laptop and cars modules.

May seem an odd question, but where do i find the connecter on the car.... are there any 'tinkering for dummies....' guides out there to save me doing something stupid?
I aim to give it a whirl tomorrow night.

    Thanks
    Cheers Stu

Your OBD port is under the steering wheel, near your knees.
