    Hi There,

    newbie here,

we own 4 vw's between family and company and I need some technical help with one, so I'm joing up to do some research.

I've had 3 T4 transporters over the years, 2 golfs, and now two t5's.. have to say the build quality of the t5 is terrible, and we have a lot of mechanical probs.. hence my joinup. everything else has been virtually fautless.

very happy overall but I have a coolant leak on my t5 130 that I can't believe is headgasket. It's either water pump or oil cooler, but 2 garages cannot find the leak.

I have to post up 5 postings in order to ask members questions, so please excuse the following 4, not wishing to sound heartless, but I need to sort this asap as we are a vw down!

my other passion is is supra's, I have owned 3 now and this is the latest, for those of you who may be remotely interested; GT4088R turbine, 600hp at 1.5bar, 550lb of torque, custom geometry and dampers and rltc traction control.

doesn't do as many mpg as the vw's and eats tyres, but I do like them

Welcome to the forum Mike, I'm sure you'll find you answers in the Transporters section.

Thanks, I didn't know there was a transporters section - I will have a look.

I joined in a thread on the commercial section, someone there is having the exact same problem as me

    Thanks fella!

I love my VW's drove a transporter for 100k all over the UK, really nice vehicle, and now have a glof gti mkiv as a everyday car,

but the supra is a machine, and (touch wood) very strong and reliable at 600hp.
