Can someone point me in the right direction to find out what the spark plug gaps should be for a mk3 golf driver 1.8 1994 please, my golf is juddering slightly on tickover and thought checking the condition/gaps on the sparkies is first thing to troubleshoot.

Also, the tool you use to remove the spark plugs (not sure what its called), do they come in different sizes? A mate has one i'm gonna borrow but not sure if it'll fit,

    Any info appreciated.

Check the condition of the rubber hose that connects the servo plastic pipe to the inlet manifold on the manifold runner for cylinder number four. Check underneath the hose as this is where they split. The VW part number is 321 611 939 E but check this before ordering, I am not working at my usual PC.

there are 2 air vacuum inlets above the manifold which originally had rubber stoppers on them on the driver model, on other models they were used and connected to something. The rubber stoppers has eroded over time and 1 had fallen off causing the engine to pull in excess air, causing the engine to run rough and misfire. the inlets were plugged again and she now purrs sweetly!!
