knocking noises

Hi!!!! What a top class site!! I had probs with power on my a6 tdi...guys suggested its my maf and its on its way soon as its ordered and will let you guys know on end result....hope this cures. Now the other problem i have is a knocking noise or a rattling noise when i turn right at a speed especially in 1st gear on a tight corner. this noise appears from front of the car....any ideas????

Sounds like it could be a cv joint.

To test this, go to your nearest local car park/open space (when it's empty) stick the car in 1st and then drive full lock in one direction. Then the same in reverse. If the CV joint has gone then you hear a click click click clicking coming from it. The directions etc - they'll help you work out which one it is.

sounds exactly like I had a few weeks ago and as allready said it sounds very much like a cv joint
