close encounters of the r8 kind!!!!

Hi all,just thought i would share my first real life close encounter of the R8 kind,it was in the lavish setting of Tesco car park near me!!!!! a chilly january morning,light drizzle,the frost warning light pinged on as it nudged 4 degrees,then out of the corner of my eye i spotted its low profile,slinking its way around the roundabout,the winter sun glistening through the rain onto its black body,just then my heated seats kicked in and i felt a warm glow in my nether regions,then it dawned on me,that i don't have heated seats...darn i must have wet myself at the sight of this beautiful beast

.dont know who the woman was driving it ,or where she was from,but that car is really the stuff of boyhood dreams...........and i'm 36!!!!

i may have done if my wife would not have shoved the r8 up my backside if she had caught me!!!!

I also had a close encounter of the R8 kind

We had just parked in the car park and were making our way to the entrance of B&Q (shirly/solihull) when it passed in front of us.

for a while i was not looking where i was walking. I had to explain to the o/h exactly what she had witnessed.

So far i have seen 3 Silver ones on the road and 2 black ones.... and no.. they were not the same cars..

They do look nice from the front end!!

i have seen a silver one, a powder blue one (and as good as the R8 looks, that colour does nothing for it) and a black one.

all at an audi dealership in Poole. one was in the showroom. the other two were out in the service and parking bays.

i havent seen one on the road yet, cant wait to hear one *dribble*

Seen my first R8 on the road last August... In St. Petersburg of all places...!!! About two days later, on our way to the airport, I saw another R8 driving around. My g/f couldn't understand my exitement so I turned to her in order to explain only to find myself looking at the front end of the Veyron... I nearly fainted...

Haven't had the pleasure to see an R8 in the UK (even parked at a dealers), only seen Veyrons on TV and in museums, but seen both driving around in Russia in a matter of a few days... I thought that was supposed to be a poor country...!!!

Told the missus about my close encounter of the R8kind,and showed her a pic of one,she agreed with me that it is indeed a fine car,and she also agreed that she too would have almost wet herself seeing it too!!!
