I have a VW Mk 3, which I bought a couple of weeks ago. When I unclock the door, the windows come down fully and then once I am inside i can't close the windows. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it. Thanks

The door lock is connected to the windows so you can close/open them via the drivers door. It sounds as though the switch to put them down is getting stuck when you unlock the door. It is meant to only work when you hold the key in the unlock position after the lock has been worked.

The mechanism is an all in one bit, you may have to remove and replace the whole thing, 30 quid I paid from a breakers 2 years ago so it's not too expensive/ hard to replace.
