passat cold driving question

hi can anyone tell me why,when i jump in the car start up and drive off the car is as flat as a fart it only does it for a couple of minutes i could get out and walk faster it always happens when its really cold my mates car does the same thing so it must be meant to do that but why its a 130 tdi and what sensor makes it do that cheers bill

no mate just normal diesel it only does it when its been standing all night it starts up ok well theres the odd misfire after a few hundred yards it drives normal to me its as though theres no turbo till it gets upto 2500 rpm whereas it normally starts kicking in at 1500 rpm cheers bill

Got it sorted just work overtime so it isnt standing all night
