    Hi Guys,

My wife's 2007 Passat has an issue with the two coin drawers that sit at the top of the dash. One of them has become stuck and periodically we can open it. We have determined that there are coins that have probably fallen out and are the cause of the problem. So my question to the brain trust here is how do I remove the drawer without damaging them or the dash. Thanks!

    Hi and welcome

Someone else has had a similar problem with this. Have a look at

Thanks Quatrelle. I spent an hour trying to find the trim removal How to that you spoke of and did see something about changing trim but still nothing about the drawers or trays. I've searched here and VWVortes with every combination of words and still nothing. I read about someone else "wiggling" out the drawers to retrieve coins but no explanations on how. This is my Wife's baby and I don't want to damage it.

NEVER MIND! I used a metal Shishkabob skewer with a bit of duct tape wrapped around it and was able to pull out $1.50 and two badly crushed parking vouchers by going underneath the drawer. I removed the front trim pieces by gently sliding the panels upward. Once the panel was removed I could see the back of the compartment with a flashlight. Wife loves me again!
