    Default Bora boot problems – 07-02-2008,03:37 PM
    Hi all,

    New to the forum as of today. Hope someone can help, I have an 02 reg 1.9TDI Bora since summer last year and has been great so far. Went to open the boot today and it just would not open at all. I have also tried it manually with the key but to no avail.
    I would be oh so grateful if anyone could shed any light on this.

    Hi,

    I have a 05 plate Bora Highline 130. Owned from new and super reliable. Only fault in three years has been the micro switch on the boot. Failed about two months ago. Worked one day and not the next. I could get it open by an open hand bang on the centre of the boot lid. You then heard the characteristic click and whine. VW warranty sorted it in about five minutes with a new switch. Common fault apparently.
