    hi my polo what i have just bought has passed its mot (straight through) i can't believe it.but it has a knock when you turn from side to side,this only happens when the wheel is in the highest position when the colomn is lowered the knock vanishes,has anyone out there had the same i could do with some advice please.

    Hi
    I have had this for a few years so long there is no play ,it has never been picked up on an mot, when you make tiny movements the wheels should show this movement all is well , I think the knock is down to the knuckle joint bottom of the steering collumn going a bit stiff you can spray this with spray release oil
    (WD40 or something like that) but keep an eye on it any play the knuckle joint should be replaced ASP .
