Hi, Does anyone have a working copy of VAGCOM in the Newbury Berkshire area? I am in desparate need to see what is wrong on my car.

Even thinking of buying one of the dodgy looking kits on ebay, anyone got any experience of the kits avaiable on there?

    Thanks

I've got the lead from e-bay for £15, downloaded the freeware VAG-COM, and more than happy with the results.

Helped fix a couple of faults!

If your ever in Southampton area, would happily plug in and see what's wrong. - My lead is not suitable for the latest CAN-BUS equipmed cars.

    VAG-COM was written by ross-tech

shareware version has a few limitations, but should be fine for what you want.

For a fee you can upgrade the version, but I never have needed to

Which cable would I need for a 2001 1.9TDi model? I already have the program and I know it plugs in under the dash on the drivers side as opposed to under the handbrake lever.
