    Default Bora Tdi -Cold running problem – 06-11-2006,11:30 PM
    Can anyone help ?When cold, the engine starts instantly and ticks over at 800rpm ish ,the problem is when i drive off the car won't pull the skin off a rice pudding for about 1/2 a mile then it gradually gets better.
    Any ideas anyone.Thanks in anticipation.

    Hi,

    this may sound wierd, but check the hand brake. Does the issue also happen if you start hte car mid-day when the sun is hotter?

    Could be that the breaks are not comming off correctly. THis happened to me, just remove the calippers, clean them, grease them, put them back on, and bob's your uncle

    Thanks for reply, it only happens when its cold,the brakes seem to be free.The latest thinking is that it could be the coolant temp sensor,i'm going to change it tomorrow,i'll post an update to say whether its succesful or not.

    Sorry for delay in answering ,its still not cured.Next step is the glow plug relay..
