    I have a problem with Golf V, PD engine, 2.0. Difficult to start when hot!
    No DTC stored.
    Anybody have any idea how to deal with this.

    try a 1/4 inch pressure on the accelerator as you turn the key

    Hi, Could be a fault in the temperature sensor telling the engine it needs too rich a mixture despite being warm. Get the '*******' to check it.

    Hi I m new to the forum, but just bought a 05 tdi and the same thing is happening starts when cold but takes a good few turns when hot ,any thing to do with the 109 relay ,read that this could be a problem or the temp sensor ,going to unplug sensor when hot and see if it starts when hot,see how I get on

    did u ever sort out the starting problem , i have same problem with mine at the moment!!

    I believe it's a known issue and has a dealer fix under warranty.

    plug out temperature sensor on right hand side of engline block as u stand in front of car and if the car starts immediatley, its likely to be the starter motor even though it may sound and seem to be in perfect condition. replacing it sorted the exact same problem with my gt tdi and ive seen the same problems and solutions many times on this site!! could be expensive though 250-300 euros.
