    Hi All,

Had my A8 for a few years now and love it but looking for a change. The dealers I bought it from have a nice 2006 RS4 in and have offered me a good p/x on the A8 and I am tempted. I know they are completely different animals but any comments or suggestions? To change or not to change??

    Thanks
    JK

Drive them both back to back and then let your heart decide.

Wow, what a nice dilemma to have! Do you want luxury or fun? I remember Clarkson describing the 2006 RS4 as perfect when he test drove it but you may miss the space of the A8. The depreciation on the RS4 is better, unless you had the TDi SE A8. Ultimately like wt888 says, test driving it is probably going to be the only way to make up your mind.

id go for the RS4, it is a nice car. A8 is also nice but i think an A8 is more of a buisness car, RS4 is more of a style car.

The RS8 is an incredible car, doesn’t have the presence of an S8 but the repair costs can be terrifying. I had to do a new main cooling fan on one recently, the fan was over £500 and it took a day to fit it. Personally I would like to drop the engine from an RS8 into an S8.
