    Hi all

I need to remove the driver airbag on my 1996 Mk3 Golf Gti so I can take off the steering wheel to replace the wiper stalk.

The Haynes casually says that once the airbag unit is unbolted, to disconnect the cable at the airbag. This seems to be not that straightforward... There is a yellow connector that doesn't look like it's meant to come off. Is there a cunning way to unclip this?

    Cheers!

Hi Just pull it off and remember to take one of the battery terminals off before you start working with airbag units.
