    Hello all

I was wondering if any one could help me out. I have a 1.4 2001 golf

During a drive from Liverpool to Aberdeen 2 weeks ago my exhaust emissions light flashed and then went away.

2 days later it flashed and then stayed on perminently and the car sounded awful, almost like a gargling sound and when i put down a little power it would struggle to produce, almost like a jolting action until it got over 3000 revs.

I took it to a garage where a diagnostics was ran and it stated a problem with the sparks and spark leads, so I replaced this along with the coil pack (as i have read that this could have been the issue).

But its still the same. It runs fine for about 15 minutes and then it starts.

I was thinking it may possibly be a problem with a lambda sensor?!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Aaron
