Hi guys, lots of interesting posts about this sort of issue.

My motor is a yr 2000 Audi A4 2.5tdi se (2WD) 6 speed with 127000 mles and FSH.

The car is performing extremely well with plenty of turbo boost, smooth, idles & starts all perfect + circa 40 mpg combined... Only trouble is that it uses about a litre of oil every few hundred miles. You can see most of that disappearing out the exhaust in the rear view mirror! Much worse when you use the power, but burns blue all the time unless just on a feathered throttle. Interestingly on the over run smoke is more white, but much reduced.

Oil & filter just changed, but air filter a bit dirty. Have run a tankful of injector cleaner.

Would it be worth checking the dreaded inlet manifold and hoses/pipes and egr thingy what ever/where ever it is? Maybe also diesel & air filter & clean air mass meter?

Many thanks.
