    Hi guys,

had a look around forums for this but didn't seem to find the same problem exactly.
I was driving along and got a min oil level warning on my DIS (yellow warning). Checked the oil and indeed it was low. I then topped up until level was good again, but my warning light has failed to go out...
have looked at various forum posts about going through provedures to get the DIS to recognise that i have topped up, but they don't seem to work.

I did notice that there is a way to reset the service schedule by holding buttons etc, but wasn't sure if doing this would reset the mileage to next service or not. Would doing the reset even solve thje problem of the warning light? Would it be safe for me to go through the reset procedure and if so, does anyone have a diffinitive set of instructions to reset an A4 1.9TDi B6 model?

Also, i noticed that the manual says that i will get a different warning if it is the sensor that has a problem. Or could it be the sensor anyway?

    Any help much appreciated.

Hi, I have the same problem, some people on other forums have said it could be linked to the bonnet catch, if this sensor has failed and it doesn't think the bonnet is open it won't reset the min oil light. To check this just have the ignition on and open the bonnet, does it say on the computer on the dash that the bonnet is open, on mine it doesn't which means my first job will be change the bonnet catch and see what happens.
    Cheers,
    Kev.
