Hello. i'm losing water externally, dribbling onto the front of sump pan from the engine ? Theres no exhaust smoke, no bubbles in header tank, and no water in the oil, or oil in the water. It did overheat through lack of water a couple of weeks ago, if that happens could it be pump seals or worse?

Yeah, most likely is the water pump. If it overheated, chances are that the cylinder head might be warped, but as diesels are built stronger than the petrol engines, the head might be ok ! Replace the water pump, cambelt and all belts/tensioners while you at it, and take it from there !
