I think my viscous fan is knackered on my LT35 2.5tdi 2000 ......

Even when the engine is up to normal temperature, the fan roars ! Van has done 71k. Can these units be fixed or is it time for a new one ?

Any ideas of where to get a resonably priced one ? been quoted £180 + vat

    Any suggestions ?

    I`d put a shout out on http://www.volkswagenspares.com/
I`ve used these people b4 and found their service good and reasonably priced.
New on there is £117 for the viscous coupling if I`ve picked the right model kw.
