Erratic engine idle when warm

Hiya All

Just bout a 99 T reg Bora 1.6 8v. When the engine is warm the idle gets very erratic and seems to bounce too causing the car to sometimes stall. Garage have cleaned out the throttle system with cleaner and the effect was it now idles too high and when warm the needle still bounces very eratically. Anyone any ideas ? First time owner of a VW so anyone bounce some idea's?

Disconect the battery, switch lights on ond off to clear static and reconect after a few minutes. The basic settings will be wipped out in the ecu and it will start learning the new settings. It takes about two days to do that so take the car for a normal drive and also give it somme stick on the motorway putting the engine trough all loads. Also check idle speed actuator(electronic=no adjustments), injectors, fuel pressure regulator,MAF, coolant temp sensor, crankshaft/camshaft position sensors, lambda sensor. Also see if there are any fault codes set in the memory and make a note and post them on the forum.
