    Hi,

Have a MK3 estate golf and somebody has put a bottle through the rear screen on the tail lift door (bonded in). I was just wondering if anyone has ever changed these type of glass panels before. What is the best way to remove the old bonding and prime the surface for the new sealant. Is there anyone that knows the best place to get the bonding and any tips for fitting the new window. Haven't decided what to do yet although RAC are looking £200 for a new part fitted, so I would like to do this myself.

Any help would be greatly appeciated.

    Thanks

    Kev

surely if you're fully comp insured, you wont have to pay a penny apart from your excess if you have any?
