I am new to Passat ownership and in 3 months have already covered 12k miles through Europe and the UK. The engine is smooth, and mated to the autobox makes for very relaxed driving.

I have one question - the car bottoms out on our smooth Northamptonshire lanes. Is it possible to upgrade the front springs to give a firmer ride? Can anyone point me in the direction of a source?

    Regards

    Neil

Go to a Euro Car Parts branch and get a sports spring kit. I would recomend renewing the shocks in the same time as its cheper to get a matching spring/shocks kit and they would really firm the ride. Also try ebay as well but make shure you give them plenty details/ask questions about your car before you buy.

    Hi

For my sins I tow a caravan, however soft rear suspension seems to be the norm.
Fitted some additional springs inside the existing ones, this made all the difference even when unladen.

    Try the following link.

The best £65 you will spend on the car

    Regards
