I guess most of you will have heard of the Cherry Bomb style exhaust, but I have only recently come across them. I was helping in a brake test on a BMW M3 Evo, and asked if there was anyway to make my car's exhaust sound remotely similar, my mate said I should try fitting a Cherry Bomb..

Has anyone ever had one in the past? What do they actually sound like? ANY advice/comments would be MUCH appreciated!!!

I'm just wondering what it would sound like on a little 1.4l hatchback, seeing as they're really made for big American muscle car..

I take it then it would sound too loud, which is what I feared as I didn't want anything that would not suit my car, and did not want to sound like those chav's with a 'universal Jap style' backbox.. O-well.

Wait till you've got a car with a proper engine before you start worrying about engine note coming out the pipe at the back lad. I'd recommend a nice throatful v8

Try taking a straight-through exhaust on the motorway.

I had twin zoom tubes on my old Bug. Sounded great around the town and in tunnels but they droned like hell on the motorway.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.
