Hi All !

Looking to buy this audi A4 FSI :

Dealer wants 7k cash, car has done 70k no cambelt change, and is due a service in 56 days according to the read out.

The car does have some nice extras, I would like comments on the colour of the car, and the price the dealer wants.

Its really nice!! Get him to knock more off. It will cost more than £350 for a cambelt change and a service bearing in mind that the water pump etc should be replaced.

Your best bet would be to agree a price for him to get the full cambelt, water pump & service done prior to you taking the car away. Not a lot of info on the car on the dealers info though so hard to tell what extras above the SE spec its got! Looks tidy enough though, colour is a little different, but makes a change from silver I suppose!

I agree with nibbles tho - I wouldn't buy the car unless the service had been done (he'd probably get the srevice done cheaper tha what you can get it done for too!).

i believe that colour is alpaca beige. i like it. i would happily drive an a4 in that colour.

I like the colour to, if you can get the cambelt done then i think you have a good buy.

Ive just got a 2.0 FSI Avant sport 03 with 84k for £7999 but it had a service at 83500 and the cam belt & water pump was done at 80k. It has half leathers & full elec seats. Im very pleased with it & think i got a good deal. I do like the colour as its unusual. I hope this helps.

looks nice, BUT you have the upper hand being the buyer. don't let those traders push you around, get the cambelt and service done all inclusive!

Beige is not the best seller that Audi made, this colour does mean it is cheaper to buy. In regards to a Cam belt ot timing belt they cost £129+ vat from www.gsfcarparts.com, well mine did on an Audi A4 tdi 130 02 plate. The car looks in good condition, but dealers are not normally silly enough to market as an X reg i.e 2000 plate, when they also state 03 plate. The FSI engines are generally good engines and return more power and better fuel economy. They are good cars in general - mine has just done 60,000 miles so I have replaced the timing belt - clutch and so far 4 electronic sensors, I have only had the car 6 months. Check out the Volvo V50 - better drive and reliability.

The car has rear parking sensors, loadcover and dog guard, front arm rest, refrigerated glove box, sports seats, not leather though, multi function steering wheel, and the private plate comes with the car,
