What information does the standard display show that is between the 2 dials?

There was a £300 option for "DIS", what extra stuff did this show? Finally i have seen a colour DIS screen and a controller near the handbrake, what are the features of this?

The standard DIS on the B6 was the following..

    CHECK -

    Oil, Fuel, Coolant, Brakes,

The DIS info shows Miles left in tank, Temp, Radio Station and low fuel.
    max Speed warning.

The upgraded DIS, like in the SE came with the above, plus, Blulb indictors, (ie, if ablub was out), MPG, TRIP, Average Speed etc.

    Hi,
Is there any way to "upgrade" the standard DIS to the other one? I guess I need the different indicator stalk with the buttons but how is it enabled?
    Thanks!
