close encounters of the r8 kind!!!!

I was calling on a customer in an industrial estate in Dunlop Street, Sheffield when a black one burbled past.

A few people had gathered outside of a nearby unit to watch it roll in.

I did think to myself, 'It's only a car, not the Titanic returning,' but must admit it was very nice.

Seen one in the showroom at Sheffield Audi too. Even asked if I could use it as a courtesy car, but was politely refused

On a side issue, I have seen some number plates up here in the north where R8 spells 'right.'

I have seen R8 GUD, which I thought was 'right good,' R8 KEG, which was neither use nor ornament and R8 CNT which I thought was rather unfortunate

I wonder if he knows?

my brother in law was doing some work for a rather well off chap who had a R8.. had it for a week and got rid of it..in fact he made a profit re-selling it..he just didnt like it..this guy is so well off his Porsche cayenne turbo would not start..he phoned his local dealer and they get to him a replacement cayenne turbo for his trip to the airport..when the car arrives he likes the colour of this one and KEEPS IT.. I dont know some people dont have taste and live on a different planet

Talking about being well of... Ever seen the Gumball 3000 movie? There's this guy in there with a brand new Koenigsegg that keeps on braking down all the time... Apparently, that car is full of Volkswagen parts well so when his radiator cap blew he pulled over at a Volkswagen dealer. Unfortunately the dealer didn't have the required part and had to order it. In the end, the guy bought a brandnew VW Beetle on the spot, took the radiator cap of, stuck it on his Koenigsegg and drove of to continue the Gumball race...

Just seen a black R8 in Meadowhall area with the reg plate BO 885, or something like that.

I expect it belongs to Bob, or it may have said Boobs.

I had a dual R8 encounter the other day, i was just on the approach to Antwerp about a mile from the JFK tunnel and not one but 2 black R8s came hurtling passed me in the otside lane, i was doing a steady 80ish and thought i was standing still as they roared passed, They dont just look good they sound pretty awesome as well!!!!

I have had 3 encounters so far, 2 in carrington both silver so may have been the same car, and saw a dark grey R8 on the outskirts of lymm/warrington.
