Hi Guys just thought this would be good use to you.

i suffered from the dreaded blocked drain holes and flooded passanger foot wells. after i fixed the leak i noticed a few of my electrics started playing up. these include my alarm, central locking, windows and interior lights.

i searched the internet to find this guide to fix all the electronic faults. these are all caused by the comfort control module (CCM)

    http://www.headfuzz.co.uk/?q=vw_ccm

it definatly helped me out. im sure it will help some of you guys.

for anyone who hasnt seen it heres the drain hole fix

    I have a 99 Passat TDI
with the interior lights flashing every time you lock it.
Checked the CCM in the floor (dry as a bone) all the contacts and connections are fine.
Its still doing it sometimes with out the CCM clicking.
    Any ideas?

just had this problem this morning alarm going off and not locking on key fob, passenger side wet through just took carpet up and stuck a hair dryer in the for about an hour, i made sure all the wires were dry as the ccm was all dry in side so the short was due to the wire/cables leading into the ccm box, got to think of away of water proofing the cables leading to the ccm

    hope this helps

    cheers neil
