As the title says, booked in for the 4th of Feb.

I`ve been given a cracking price making it worth my while travelling from Bolton to Crewe.

They`ve even booked a Golf as a courtesy car too!

I`ll report back on my findings.

Ps, I did ask why they are cheap, and they`ve noticed that a lots of customers are taking their cars elsewhere once they are over 3years old.

They are trying to win back custom from older (ie over 3 years old cars)VW owners.

    Great price!

was quoted £410 for cambelt only by VW Birmingham but ebay offer by Stafford audi was £249 !
Managed to also get water pump, service and oil, brake fluid and a tensioner belt done for £208 more
ie less than £50 than VW had quoted for 1 job!

all with a 2 year VAG warranty and a stamp in the book

I take it you had the same level of service?

Thats great still getting main dealer work for much less.

I called my local VW main dealer, SKF of Bolton, and was quoted 425, but could discount that by 25% because the car was over 3 years old.

    Still too much though!

Crewe are doing exactly the same work for £184.50!

No brainer, especially with a courtesy car thrown in!

    Update,

Got my car back from Crewe VW today.

Totally happy with the service I received.

Arrived at 08:20am and given a 56plate Golf tdi, with some fuel in too!

Left my car with them and asked if they could give me plenty of notice as I had a long way to travel.

Got a call around 11 ish, would I like any other work such as a brake fluid change or air con service?

I decided to have the air con serviced and regassed at a very reasonable £49.

Got a phone call around 13.30 saying my car was ready.

    Arrived around 15.15

My car had been washed and hoovered as a bonus too.

Bill was presented for £184.50 for the cambelt and tensioner and the additional £49 for the aircon service. This included parts and vat.

I had a free healthcheck performed and nothing was found to be amiss.

I left totally satisfied and would reccomend them to anyone.
A long trip from Bolton to Crewe but worth my day off and money saved!
    Well done crewe VW!
