Hi, First i apologise if im not allowed to post this type of message, but is there any kind person that can fit my sub/ wiring kit to my Audi a4 1995 ? basically i have a vibe sub/amp all in one in the boot and just want to no if anybody can fit the wiring kit for me and for a little cheaper than the local hi-fi shop, would do myself but havnt got the time as yet,
So all i need doing is the live from sub box to engine bay/battery
remote wire from ub box to stereo
rca leads from sub to stereo
    and earth to chasis somewhere
even if it was just for somebody to feed the Live cable from battery to inside the car i can perhaps do the rest myself...

Any help Please and im in verwood/dorset near ringwood, but could travel locally if needed,

Many thanks and sorry for this strange request, hope to hear soon and Please p/m me and i will get back to you very soon.

    Regards from brian

I'm passing Ringwood on Saturday 2nd Feb, probably at about 5pm/6pm (not sure yet as I have a club meet at Portsmouth). I could try and lend a hand. I have prior experience of fitting audio in my fabia - One point I had 2 JL 12" subs, 3 amps, door comps, etc. Now all gone though, but I'm sure I can try to lend a hand.

Just drop me a PM nearer the time as I'm not likely to clock into this thread again. It might end up me showing up and saying "you need a X, Y and Z" and then going again.

Need to ensure you have things like head unit keys in advance. ALso ensure you have the correct ring terminal fitting on the power wire to go over the battery positive terminal. Also you need an inline fuse - hopefully a good one is in the kit. Earth wire? Well should be a good bit on the edge of the boot. Rear seatbelt buckle mounts usually work well. RCA should be easy to plumb in. Also, having torx set to remove trim too. I think the glovebox will have to come out to access a grommet into the engine bay.

The easiest way to get wire into the car is through where the ECU is (drivers side of the engine bay bottom of windscreen remove cover and clip that holds ECU down and move ECU out of the way you will now see a big hole leading down to the footwell remove the bottom part of the Dash (3 or 4 Bolts) and you should see the hole that comes through the Engine bay.

    Good Luck

Good to know as I was going to wire it down the passenger side. Sounds like the driver's side would be better to me.
