Hi- I've had a Sony 6650 DAB radio fitted by an auto electrician to replace my Gamma stereo. All works well, but if I leave the car for 20 mins or so the stereo loses any stations/clock settings etc I've stored. I'm assuming the continious power supply is in some way switched off when the car is left alone? It's fine for 5 minutes, just has a problem after longer periods...
Did the Gamma not have a continious power lead input? He sounds baffled so I wanted to check before i return to him.

It sounds like he's not connected it correctly. Does it switch on and off with the ignition properly ?

You may need to swap the permanent live and switched live over.

Look at the wiring on the back, there should be a yellow wire (permanent live) and a red wire (switched live - sometimes red and yellow). There should hopefully be connectors on each of these wires, if you swap them round then try tuning the stereo again it should hopefully store your stations correctly.
