One more question:

if back springs are not seated properly will that explain why drivers side is sitting lower than passenger side or will the passenger side spring be the culprit?

cant wait get them back springs done,maybe car will sit level al round,instead of looking like a dragster!!!

Also will my car have the later dampers as ive had them off a 54 plate s-line tdi ? are the spring plates adjustable?

There is some images below the first image (ending 324) is the wheel on the road,the car is parked on the smallest of kerbs,but the gap tells you something like its parked on a ramp!!!

see the attached files below. 40mm lowered? PASSENGER SIDE ON THE ROADSIDE, DRIVERSIDE IS PARKED ON THE PATH/KERB....AND A SMALL ONE AT THAT!
