Makes sence. If each letter would stand for a different make that is part of the group, I believe by now it would need to be VAPSSBLG....

I believe at sometime in the past according to a German colleague of mine it was Volkswagen Audi Gesellschaft.

Of course Porsche being or soon to be the major share holder who knows what might happen
