    Hi...

My sweetheart girlfriend bought me a motorised touch screen dvd player for my A4 (B6) for christmas, Its a tight squeeze but fits snuggly in the dash...
The problem is the ISO connectors are not giving me what i need... I have the BOSE system.. i.e the front speakers and power are on the normal two black blocks, but the 6 disc changer, rear amp, rear speakers and dash display are on a third RED block... i have called around audio shops for help but no one can help me. does anyone know what cable i need? where i can get it from ?

    Help would be gratefully accepted

I have the same car and the BOSE system although I never touch the dash myself - I usually get that done by my local car stereo workshop. Anyway the people will most definitely have what you need are Autoleads http://www.autoleads.co.uk/ they will be able to tell you what cable you need - you can also follow the links to download the catalogue try:
    http://www.autoleads.co.uk/installat...l=A4&year=2003
I extracted some of the following from their Excel catalogue if its any help.

    Aug-04 Sep-06 Symphony - Fully Amplified FP-05-07 S + D Din PC9-408
    Aug-04 Sep-06 Symphony - Half Amplified FP-05-07 S + D Din PC9-401
    Apr-02 Aug-04 BOSE - Fully Amplified FP-05-07 S + D Din PC9-408
    Apr-02 Aug-04 BOSE - Rear Amplified FP-05-07 S + D Din PC9-401
    Apr-02 > CHORUS UNIT ONLY FP-05-05 Single Din PC9-401
    Mar-00 Apr-02 BOSE - Fully Amplified FP-05-05 Single Din PC9-408
    Mar-00 Apr-02 BOSE - Rear Amplified FP-05-05 Single Din PC9-401
    Nov-99 Mar-00 BOSE - Fully Amplified FP-05-03 Single Din PC9-408
    Nov-99 Mar-00 BOSE - Rear Amplified FP-05-03 Single Din PC9-401
    Feb-95 Nov-99 BOSE - Fully Amplified FP-05-00 Single Din PC9-408
    Feb-95 Nov-99 BOSE - Rear Amplified FP-05-00 Single Din PC9-401

The guys who ordered the right cable for me and fitted it were:
Thames Car Radio Suppliers (Egham) Ltd
    40-41, High St, Egham, Surrey TW20 9DP
    Tel: 01344 844050

Not sure where you are located but I am sure you can still call them - they are very helpful if you ask them what you need and tell them headunit you "plan" to install etc.

I did the same thing and i boughthe half amped wiring loom, and the rear speakers sounded awefull because the set i bought take the speaker output on your aftermarket head unit and put resistors to bring it down to line level, but the result is distorted clipping sound frrom the rears and sub.

In the end i worked out which pre out was which on teh adapter , took the adapter in my house, removed the resistors and soldered 2 RCA plugs in place which i plugged into my aftermarket head units pre outs.

Now it sounds as good as when i had the stock head unit in, but I can play MP3 discs, finally I am pleased
