Hi, I have a '97 1.9tdi A4, I know it's done 136k but never missed a beat, anyway last monday night I had the fuel/air/oil filters changed, It does kick a small amount of white smoke out when start from cold, and the normal puff of black when i boot it, recently I have been intermittantly loosing power on the motorway at just over 60mph. BUT it was difficult to start this eve, it just turned over and over, and only went eventually when i start presing the accerator. about half mile later it cut out, as i was moving i bump started it, but half a mile later it stopped, no bangs or 'owt, just stopped, it will sturn over, but won't fire.

    Any idea's???

    Alan

Well we thought it was the leak off pipes letting air in dur to no fuel at the injectors, even 10 seconds after it had run.
It's gone down the specialist now as changed all the leak off pipes, and it will start, but it takes alot of turning over, and now intermitantly running badly

Could al this be caused by a short circuit at the G71 intake sensor?
