My first post - and information on tyres and insurance if you are thinking of upgrading the engine management system.

1. Tyres - after 6,000 miles the tyre shoulders are wearing quite badly so I was doing some checking on the internet and in the manual. Results are interesting:

Pressures - when I checked these they were set by the dealer to 35F and 36R. I couldn't find any advice on the internet other than other people were having similar problems

The Manual - the manual actually tells you to pressurise as if fully loaded - 44F and 49R - and it seems to be working. Downside is the ride is now a tadge harder.

2 Upgrading - I checked the Superchips recommends - Adrian Flux and Firebond - huge bills. So I used confused.com and was surprised at the results:

Best Quote unmodified - £265
Best Quote Modified - £436

Adrian Flux was £700

...so worth checking if you feel the need to add to what already is a good deal of power.

Hope this is useful - but I would be pleased if anyone can verify tyres pressures and have seen any difference as I am doing
