I think the OP meant the VP37 fuel pump connector for a tuning box.

The very early ones had a DIN connector, with later models having a 'D' shaped 8pin, moving onto a 10pin.

If you follow the bundle of wires coming from your fuel pump you will come to the connector, it is approx in the middle of the engine bay, below and behind the pump.

I have tried a few different varieties of German 'ebay' chips on my old VE 110, and there is a vast difference between the best and the worst.

At worst some simply had altered pump mapping, and were effectively a tuning box on a chip, some of the better variety were altering a minimum of 10 or more maps giving more power in a safe non-piston melting manner.

A cheap DIY ebay 'chip' is pot luck, if you buy one, stick with a chip or remap from a highly recommended, or established, proven company.

If you dont get a tuning box, i would go for some used, ebay, 'old school' Wetterauer chips or similar, or a 'live' remap for max power.

If you are DIY'ing, you will need to check your chip/s type, this should be possible with model and ECU number/software type, or you can always pop open your ECU and look.

You may or may not need socketts fitting.

If you want a lot more power and are prepared to pay, i would go for nozzles, turbo and a proper remap using your existing maps.

You will need to plan for a stronger clutch, and let the tuner know exactly what you want or you may pay good money on a 'low power', safe, non clutch destroying power levels that could be achieved with a £10 used tuning box.

As i sayd the car is running good but after 2 minutes from the moment the engine was started i get flashing glow plug light. If i stop the engine and start it again i get the same flashing light after 2 minutes. Is it any way to fix this or do i have to return the chips, cause i've been trying to call them but no answe, also they don't answer to my emails.

Thank you and all the best

    PS
I've done a vag scan and it didn't find any error. Tomorow i will try with the original chips again to make shure is not a problem with the car

you have fitted a cheap unit, best to remove it and pay for a quality tunning box, the 8 or 10 pin plug is the wire coming from the Diesel pump, it is round on the 80 so most tunning boxes don't fit, you will have to make sure it is a round connector you need.

I agree with you in only one way... yes i've bought cheap cips and i was expected to have problems, the good thing i'm comunicateing with the guy who sold me the cips and he is working right now to fix the problem. I do not agree with you when you say i should buy a TUNING BOX. You see, the tuning box is only tricking the ECU about some data received from the sensors thing that i don't really like, and i'm not the only one haveing the same opinion about the tunning boxes.
I will go on for a while with the modifications made by this guy and if i can't fix the problem i'll replace the cips with the original ones.

@gintoons if i have any new i'll let you konw, the guy from sjk digital is a bit slow with the emails but he said he's going to fix it.

    Thank you for your answer
