    Hi All
Can anyone help me with re=adapting the throttle body on a 2000 Polo 1.4 (AHW).
I had to replace the engine speed sensor, and while fuel system was off I cleaned the throttle body. I am trying to readapt it with VAG-COM, when I go to group 098 I can hear the motor start, and the first display seems OK, then display changes and I get ERROR in adaption mode window. Pot voltages seem OK and throttle does not seem to be sticking.
No error codes in engine module.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers
    Stuart

Thanks for the link, but that is what I am doing.
VAG-COM seems to be doing the right thing, it must be a fault in the electrics.

The whole point of throttle adaptation is that it learns the rest and maximum movement positions of the throttle valve idle stepper motor and feeds back the values from the potentiometer so that the ECU knows the values and can use them to control the idle. It cannot do this if it adapts at WOT.
