    Exclamation Need Help with a Central locking problem!! – 08-01-2008,10:54 PM
    hi, i have a 1997 passat and when i go to lock it with the remote the left hand rear door does not lock! i can lock it manually and it will open ok with the remote it just don't lock with it. there is a noise like its trying to lock but dont anybody got any ideas?

    could be many things, but an easy thing to try is disconect the battery for about half an hour, and then reconect, thus resetting everything back to factory settings, i did this with my passat cos the back door would not unlock at all, it worked for me and did'nt cost a pennie
