    Hi,

I have a MK4 Golf 150 which has been chipped and runs fine. That is until im in either 5th or 6th and accelerate from low revs. At about 1500 and also 1900 rpm the car shakes quite violently until it is out of these rev ranges. It sometimes does it in fourth if I am going up a hill, but it is always at the same rpm.

I had the clutch replaced in November and have noticed this judder for about a month now.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks in advance

not sure about this but have you tried giving the engine a shake to see if engine mountings are gone?

You are probably on the limit for the stock clutch and dual mass flywheel setup with your remap, you can get peformance replacements designed to handle more power and torque but these are expensive, so is the stock DMF , or you could just ease up a little and let the revs get up a touch before you give it a lot of pedal. (works for me)

Thanks for the info. I have checked all of the mounts and they seem fine. Guess i'll just go easy on the revs in when in low gears!

    Cheers

Sounds like the flywheel aye. I get this with my Bora, only 2k rpm, only in 4th..... and only using BP ultimate, i think because of slightly higher torque!
