    Hello,

My Passat 100TDI 2003 Estate with central locking, has developed a curious fault.

When i turn the ignition off and remove the ignition key, the radio stays on (it used to turn off as soon as I removed the key), I get out of the car, shut the door then try to lock it using the button on the keyfob. The doors do not lock.

The keyfob works the red indicator light on it flashes. Same as the spare one.

When you use the key in the door lock, the radio turns off and the car locks, you can unlock the car with the key fob.

When the car is locked, then pressing lock on the keyfob,it operates the door locks to close again

Any help would be grateful to resolve this issue.

    Thanks

Make sure there is no dampness in the nearside footwells, in case it's a damp CCM. Also try disconnecting the main battery for a few minutes to reset things. I have had similar weirdness after getting flat batteries and charging it back up as though low voltage scramble it.

All near side carpets are bone dry. Now the germlin seems to have disappeared hopefully. Every thing works fine

    Cheers
